Hello Friends, Family, and Fans:
Our first post is being written as we get ready to leave snowy, cold, Huntsville. Our time here this fall and winter has been warmed with time by the fire, ice hut visits, time with friends, and stashing away some cash for the trip.
Recent days have been filled with lots of last minute trips into town, "practice packs", haircuts, and beer with friends. Everything seems to fit into the packs which are not quite full and are weighing in at around 30 pounds each. We sleep each night under the mosquito net attached to the ceiling of our bedroom-just to get used to it.We fly into Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday, February 4th, in the morning.
We want to thank friends and family for their well wishes and support as we get ready to go. Special thanks to Jen and Peter who have been more than welcoming to us in their home for the past few months. We like our basement abode and think you guys are the bees knees.
We look forward to sharing some of our adventures and mishaps with you over the next few months, and YES, we will come back!
